Is Your Las Vegas Real Estate Agent a Jack of All Trades?
Is your Las Vegas Real Estate Agent a jack of all trades? Many Las Vegas Real Estate Agents attempt to portray themselves as a Short Sale Listing Agent, REO Listing Agent, Buyers Agent, Rental Agent, and Property Manager. That’s great that they are well versed in all areas but how can they truly represent the client to the best of their ability if they are trying to be a jack of all trades? I mean really, how can a so called Short Sale Listing Agent be out showing houses to buyers when they should be contacting Lenders ensuring the short sale process is not being hindered. We all know the Lenders are constantly losing paperwork!
Now granted, some Las Vegas Real Estate Agents have assistants that handle many tasks in the transaction so the Agent can direct their time to other important tasks. But with that said, as a homeowner wouldn’t you rather have your real estate agent specializing in the task you hired them to perform? A real estate agent that specializes in a specific niche in the real estate industry will have more experience and knowledge in that niche than a real estate agent that is a jack of all trades.
For example, if you hiring an agent that is a licensed Las Vegas Property Manager, their entire business should be property management, not listing homes for sale or assisting buyers. There is so much liability involved with Property Management, it requires an agent to provide marketing, proper tenant screening, property maintenance, accurate accounting statements and so much more.
So next time you are interviewing a real estate agent to represent you in a real estate transaction, make sure they specialize in the area of service you require.
